53 Russian journalists killed for writing the truth

Litvinenko to get inquest

The death of ex-KGB and FSB officer Alexander Litvinenko has still not been satisfactorily explained. He was poisoned in London with the radioactive isotope polonium-210 in the autumn of 2006.

But there is a little light at the end of this rather murky tunnel. A full inquest is now likely to be held into Litvinenko’s death.

His widow, Marina, has battled for the inquest for years. Her website says, ‘I am prepared to do whatever it takes to find the truth about the unprecedented act of nuclear terrorism that killed Sasha Litvinenko and endangered the lives of thousands of my fellow Londoners.’
